ReelCubby

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 October 2026

1. Introduction

1.1This Privacy Policy explains how AppsJet Solutions (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information in connection with the ReelCubby extension for Google Chrome (the “Extension”), the website located at reelcubby.com (the “Website”) and any related services (together, the “Service”).

1.2This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use. Capitalised terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use.

1.3The Service is designed to minimise the collection of personal data. The information that the Extension retrieves from Instagram is processed and stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

2. Information Processed Locally on Your Device

2.1To provide its functionality, the Extension retrieves the list of posts that you have saved to your Instagram account, using the authenticated Instagram session that already exists in your browser. The Extension stores the following information locally within your browser on your device (“Your Library”):

  1. details of each saved post, including its link, the creator's username and display name, caption, hashtags, audio title, location name, like count, and the dates on which it was posted and saved;
  2. reduced-size preview images of each saved post;
  3. categorisation and search data derived from the information above; and
  4. categories you create, changes you make and your settings.

2.2Your Library is not transmitted to us or to any third party. We do not have access to it. The Extension does not access, collect or transmit your Instagram password, authentication cookies or direct messages.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Price localisation data

To display the price applicable in your country, the Extension and the Website send your device's time zone setting (for example, “Europe/London”) to our price server. Your browser's language preference and your IP address are transmitted as part of the request in the ordinary course. We use this information solely to determine the applicable price. We do not store it, although our hosting provider, Railway, may retain technical logs for a limited period. The same server provides the page displayed after a purchase is completed.

3.2 Purchase and billing data

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Through Dodo Payments, we have access to your name, email address, country and the details of your transaction. We use this information to fulfil your purchase, provide support, process refunds, prevent fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3.3 Licence verification data

Following a purchase, you receive a Licence Key. When you activate the Extension on a device, the Extension sends your Licence Key and a device label (for example, “Chrome on macOS”) to Dodo Payments. Thereafter, the Extension periodically (approximately once a week) sends your Licence Key to Dodo Payments to confirm that it remains valid.

3.4 Trial data

The date on which your Trial Period began is stored in Chrome's sync storage, so that it applies across devices on which you have enabled Chrome sync. This information is processed by Google in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

3.5 Correspondence

If you contact us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to you and to keep a record of the correspondence.

3.6 Website

The Website does not use cookies, analytics tools or third-party tracking technologies, and its fonts are hosted on the Website itself. The Website requests the applicable price from our price server as described in section 3.1.

4. Information Transmitted Directly to Third Parties

4.1Instagram. To retrieve your saved posts, play media and refresh expired media links, the Extension communicates directly with Instagram from your browser, within your own authenticated session, in the same manner as Instagram's website. That communication is governed by Instagram's privacy policy.

4.2Hugging Face. On first use, the Extension downloads the files required for categorisation and search (approximately 320 MB) from Hugging Face. As with any download, Hugging Face receives your IP address and standard browser information. No information from Your Library is transmitted. That download is governed by Hugging Face's privacy policy.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described in section 3 solely to:

  1. display the applicable price;
  2. process and fulfil purchases and verify Licence Keys;
  3. provide support and respond to correspondence;
  4. process refunds and prevent fraud and misuse; and
  5. comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use any information for advertising, profiling or the training of artificial intelligence models.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union or of the United Kingdom applies, we rely on the following legal bases: the performance of a contract with you (processing purchases and verifying Licence Keys); our legitimate interests (displaying the applicable price, responding to correspondence and preventing fraud), which we have determined are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms; and compliance with legal obligations (retaining tax and accounting records).

7. Disclosure of Information

7.1We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

7.2We disclose personal information only:

  1. to service providers that process it on our behalf or as independent controllers in order to provide the Service, namely Railway (hosting) and Dodo Payments (payments and licensing);
  2. where required by law, regulation, legal process or a request from a competent authority;
  3. where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others; and
  4. in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our business, subject to the recipient's agreement to protect the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

8. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received through the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular, such information is used only to provide and improve the single purpose of the Extension; it is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide that purpose, to comply with applicable law or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; it is not used or transferred for advertising or to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes; and it is not read by any person except with your express consent, where necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law.

9. International Transfers

Our service providers may process personal information in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses adopted by the relevant authorities.

10. Data Retention

10.1Your Library remains on your device until you delete it, either by selecting “Delete all data” in the Extension's settings or by removing the Extension from your browser.

10.2Purchase and billing records are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to comply with applicable tax and accounting laws, which typically require retention for several years.

10.3Price localisation data is not retained by us. Correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the matter concerned.

11. Security

All communication between the Service and our servers, and between the Extension and Dodo Payments, is encrypted in transit. Your Library is protected by the security of your device and browser. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Instagram Account

The Service is not provided by, or affiliated with, Instagram or Meta. The Extension retrieves your saved posts at a measured pace, within your own authenticated session. Notwithstanding this, Instagram may limit, challenge, suspend or disable accounts that it believes are being used with third-party tools, and we are unable to control or predict any such action. Your use of the Service is at your own risk, as further described in our Terms of Use.

13. Your Rights

13.1Depending on your place of residence, including under the data protection laws of the European Union, the United Kingdom, India and the State of California, you may have the right to:

  1. request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  2. request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
  3. request the deletion of your personal information;
  4. request a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  5. object to, or request the restriction of, certain processing;
  6. withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent; and
  7. lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13.2To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 18. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. Certain information may be retained where we are legally required to do so.

13.3California residents. We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

14. Your Choices Within the Extension

You may delete Your Library at any time by selecting “Delete all data” in the Extension's settings, and you may free a device's activation by selecting “Remove from this computer”. Removing the Extension from your browser deletes all locally stored data.

15. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under the minimum age required to use Instagram in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The amended Privacy Policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Where an amendment is material, we will indicate this prominently on this page.

17. Grievance Officer (India)

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, any grievance or query regarding the processing of your personal information may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We will acknowledge grievances promptly and endeavour to resolve them within the period prescribed by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

18. Contact

Questions, requests or complaints regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal information may be addressed to AppsJet Solutions at [email protected].
